Project Manager: Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager

Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc. is a licensed consulting engineering firm that has been providing high-quality building inspections, engineering, project management, and expert witness services since 1999. Delta is expanding its client base and currently has an opening for a highly motivated and experienced project manager with experience in building restoration.

The successful candidate must have a minimum bachelor’s degree in either engineering (structural/civil preferred), architecture, or construction management.

Knowledge of current building codes and standards is required with particular expertise in the areas of concrete and wood frame restoration; building envelope sciences, water-proofing and coatings, and roofing systems is preferred. The ability to work on scaffolding, high lifts and swing staging will be required as well as being able to meet the physical demands of conducting field inspections.

Candidates must be self-sufficient and have the ability to obtain and manage projects successfully in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Active involvement in professional organizations, tradeshows, and community events as well as building long standing client relationships is essential for this position. Excellent verbal and exceptional report written skills are essential, as well as, a desire to advance in a small business environment.

Project Engineer / PE

Delta is expanding our senior level professional team and has opening for a seasoned structural engineer wanting to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will be a licensed Florida Professional Engineer with a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil-Structural Engineering and at least 10 years of experience is required. Special consideration will be given to those with a Master’s degree or Threshold Inspectors (special inspectors) certification. Expertise in utilizing structural design software, AutoCAD, experience in the areas of concrete restoration, wood frame, building envelope, and water-proofing is preferred. Strong computer, writing, verbal communication, and management skills are necessary.

Responsibilities include conducting interfacing with clients, manage staff and resources, outlining project objectives for EIT staff members, conducting field observations and threshold inspections, preparing condition reports, structural design analysis, preparing construction plans, specifications and project manuals and conducting construction administration during the construction phase. The candidate would be working on a wide variety of structures including condominiums, commercial buildings, plazas, and parking garages. Senior Forensic Consultant Manager

Delta is expanding our senior level management team and has opening for a seasoned forensic consultant wanting to take the next step in their career.

As a Senior Forensic Consultant at Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc., you must have expertise in forensic investigations, identifying construction defects; preparing expert forensic reports, preparing opinions of probable costs, providing expert testimony in deposition, mediation and trial as well as overseeing the preparation of repair documents, and construction administration services.  You will be able to work with a wide variety of structures including condominiums, commercial buildings, plazas, and parking garages, contact and maintain clients, manage staff and resources, outline forensic objectives and testing, and developer transition studies while working with a multidiscipline team of engineers and technical staff members.

Successful candidates must have a solid knowledge of architectural, structural, building envelope, glazing and waterproofing systems.  Work will involve on-site field investigation and about 20 percent travel (within Florida).  Strong computer, writing, communication, and management skills are necessary.  Registered professional architect or engineer, B. Arch or BSCE, and at least 10 – 15 years of experience are required with demonstrated experience in a senior consultant and management.

Architectural / Structural Designer / Drafter

Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc. is a licensed consulting engineering firm that has been providing high-quality building inspections, structural engineering, project management, and expert witness services since 1999. Our firm is growing and currently has an opening for a highly motivated and self-sufficient Architectural / Structural Designer.

The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD Autodesk, demonstrate knowledge and experience in architectural and structural drafting, building codes, and relevant aspects of construction techniques as well as an expertise in industry accepted drafting standards. Responsibilities include developing detailed AutoCAD drawings from sketches, notes, and other input materials, development and maintenance of project drawing files and library; taking field note measurements; and making sketches as necessary in support of new assignments.

Candidates must be self-sufficient and have the ability to handle multiple projects at once. Effective time management to ensure timely completion of projects within defined budgets is a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as a desire to advance in a small business environment.
