Project Administrative Assistant

Delta currently has an opening for a full-time project administrative assistant in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

The successful candidate will have prior administrative experience with the ability to multi-task and possess strong organizational and professional communication skills. Duties will include providing office and project coordination support to project managers and administrative staff including word processing, filing, copying and report duplication, and purchasing. A high level of coordination, multi-tasking, and organization is required to provide support for multiple projects at one time. Candidates must be self-sufficient and have the ability work in a fast paced environment. Qualified candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). QuickBooks experience a plus. College degree preferred.

Marketing Manager

Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc. is a licensed consulting engineering firm specializing in forensic engineering and building restoration and has been providing professional inspection, engineering and project management services since 1999. Our firm is growing and currently has an opening for a highly motivated and self-sufficient Marketing Director.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creative content development and design for print advertisements, case studies, professional resumes, mailers, press releases, social media marketing, and website content.
  • Lead generation and development.
  • Manage sales funnel
  • Represent company at various events including trade shows and industry meetings while focusing on lead generation and building/enriching relationships with potential and current clientele and industry associates.
  • Maintain continuing education (CEU) course offerings and set up special educational and marketing events.
  • Implementing marketing plans and special marketing programs.
  • Prepare quarterly marketing reports and annual reports
  • Developing and following marketing budget.
  • Ordering and sourcing marketing collateral
  • Maintain and edit Statement of Qualifications, Professional Resumes, and Project Lists.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of proposals and qualification packages including maintaining log of proposals, following up on outstanding proposals regularly, and tracking wins/losses.
  • Some travel required.

Skills Required:

  • Positive and outgoing with excellent communication and sales skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) preferred.

Education, Training and Experience:

Human Resources & Financial Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of the administration of company policies, procedures and programs.
  • Maintain company handbook, personnel policies and state regulatory requirements.
  • Administer employee benefits: medical insurance, vacations, 401K personnel policies, performance reviews.
  • Manage company insurance policies including worker’s compensation, general liability, professional liability and automobile insurance
  • Recruitment of new employees, develop job postings, recruitment criteria, screen resumes, and set interview appointments.
  • Manage the onboarding process of new employees
  • Maintain employee files, assist in the review process and termination process
  • Preparation of client invoices using QuickBooks
  • Assist in the development of employee training
  • Manage collections process
  • Provide administrative support as needed (e.g. correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance)

Skills Required:

Project Manager: Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager

Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc. is a licensed consulting engineering firm that has been providing high-quality building inspections, engineering, project management, and expert witness services since 1999. Delta is expanding its client base and currently has an opening for a highly motivated and experienced project manager with experience in building restoration.

The successful candidate must have a minimum bachelor’s degree in either engineering (structural/civil preferred), architecture, or construction management.

Knowledge of current building codes and standards is required with particular expertise in the areas of concrete and wood frame restoration; building envelope sciences, water-proofing and coatings, and roofing systems is preferred. The ability to work on scaffolding, high lifts and swing staging will be required as well as being able to meet the physical demands of conducting field inspections.

Candidates must be self-sufficient and have the ability to obtain and manage projects successfully in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Active involvement in professional organizations, tradeshows, and community events as well as building long standing client relationships is essential for this position. Excellent verbal and exceptional report written skills are essential, as well as, a desire to advance in a small business environment.

Senior Forensic Consultant Manager

Delta is expanding our senior level management team and has opening for a seasoned forensic consultant wanting to take the next step in their career.

As a Senior Forensic Consultant at Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc., you must have expertise in forensic investigations, identifying construction defects; preparing expert forensic reports, preparing opinions of probable costs, providing expert testimony in deposition, mediation and trial as well as overseeing the preparation of repair documents, and construction administration services.  You will be able to work with a wide variety of structures including condominiums, commercial buildings, plazas, and parking garages, contact and maintain clients, manage staff and resources, outline forensic objectives and testing, and developer transition studies while working with a multidiscipline team of engineers and technical staff members.

Successful candidates must have a solid knowledge of architectural, structural, building envelope, glazing and waterproofing systems.  Work will involve on-site field investigation and about 20 percent travel (within Florida).  Strong computer, writing, communication, and management skills are necessary.  Registered professional architect or engineer, B. Arch or BSCE, and at least 10 – 15 years of experience are required with demonstrated experience in a senior consultant and management.
