    Senior Forensic Consultant Manager:

    As the Department Manager of Forensics at Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc., you must have expertise in forensic investigations, identifying construction defects; preparing expert forensic reports, preparing opinions of probable costs, providing expert testimony in deposition, mediation and trial as well as overseeing the preparation of repair documents, and construction administration services. You will be able to work with a wide variety of structures including condominiums, commercial buildings, plazas, and parking garages, contact and maintain clients, manage staff and resources, outline forensic objectives and testing, and developer transition studies while working with a multi-discipline team of engineers and technical staff members.

    Successful candidates must have a solid knowledge of architectural, structural, building envelope, glazing and waterproofing systems. Work will involve on-site field investigation and some travel (within Florida). Strong computer, writing, communication, and management skills are necessary. Florida Professional Engineer (PE) with minimum BSCE degree or Registered Architect (RA) and at least 7 years of experience are required with demonstrated experience in a senior consultant and management.

    Roof Inspector/Consultant:

    Our firm is growing and currently, has an opening for a highly-motivated Roof Inspector/Consultant.

    The successful candidate must have commercial roofing experience as an inspector, consultant, or foreman. A minimum of 3-years of experience is required with special consideration given to candidates with additional certifications: including but not limited to FL Standard Roofing Inspector (SRI) or Registered Roof Observer (RRO) or college degree.

    General knowledge of roofing and building systems and current and older editions of the Florida Building Code is essential for the position. The ability to work on scaffolding, high lifts and swing staging and being able to meet the physical demands of conducting field inspections.

    The successful candidate must work in a team environment and have adequate verbal and written skills with a desire for career advancement.

    Project Engineer / Structural PE

    As a Project Engineer you must have expertise in the assessment, design and construction administration of building restoration projects including concrete repair, wood frame and stucco façade repair, glazing and painting and water-proofing; overseeing the preparation of repair documents and construction administration services for a wide variety of structures including condominiums, commercial buildings, plazas, and parking garages; proposal estimating; managing staff and resources; budgeting; and training while working with a multidiscipline team of engineers and technical staff members.

    Project Manager: Construction Management

    The successful candidate must have a minimum bachelor’s degree in either engineering (structural/civil preferred) or construction management.

    Knowledge of current building codes and standards is required with particular expertise in the areas of concrete repair and wood frame restoration; building envelope sciences, water-proofing and coatings, and roofing systems is preferred. The ability to work on scaffolding, high lifts and swing staging will be required, as well as, being able to meet the physical demands of conducting field inspections.

    Candidates must be self-sufficient and have the ability to obtain and manage projects successfully in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Active involvement in professional organizations, tradeshows, and community events as well as building long standing client relationships is essential for this position. Excellent verbal and exceptional report written skills are essential, as well as, a desire to advance in a small business environment.

    Engineer in Training

    Responsibilities include working with senior level team members, conducting structural assessments, field observations, structural design analysis, preparing project specifications, and construction administration duties. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as a desire to advance in a small business environment.

    The successful candidate will be an ambitious recent graduate or experienced engineer with specialization in structures and have successfully passed the Engineer Intern Examination.
