Senior Forensic Consultant Manager
As a Senior Forensic Consultant at Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc., you must have expertise in forensic investigations, identifying construction defects; preparing expert forensic reports, preparing opinions of probable costs, providing expert testimony in deposition, mediation and trial as well as overseeing the preparation of repair documents, and construction administration services. You will be able to work with a wide variety of structures including condominiums, commercial buildings, plazas, and parking garages, contact and maintain clients, manage staff and resources, outline forensic objectives and testing, and developer transition studies while working with a multi-discipline team of engineers and technical staff members.
Successful candidates must have a solid knowledge of architectural, structural, building envelope, glazing and waterproofing systems. Work will involve on-site field investigation and about 20 percent travel (within Florida). Strong computer, writing, communication, and management skills are necessary. Registered professional architect or engineer, B. Arch or BSCE, and at least 10 – 15 years of experience are required with demonstrated experience in a senior consultant and management.
Project Manager: Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager
The successful candidate must have a minimum bachelor’s degree in either engineering (structural/civil preferred). architecture, or construction management.
Knowledge of current building codes and standards is required with particular expertise in the areas of concrete and wood frame restoration; building envelope sciences, water-proofing and coatings, and roofing systems is preferred. The ability to work on scaffolding, high lifts and swing staging will be require as well as being able to meet the physical demands of conducting field inspections.
Candidates must be self-sufficient and have the ability to obtain and manage projects successfully in a face-paced, deadline driven environment. Active involvement in professional organizations, trade shows, and community evens as we as building long standing client relationships is essential for this position. Excellent verbal and exceptional report written skills are essential, as well as, a desire to advance in a small business environment.
Structural PE Engineering Manager: Restoration
As a Department Manager at Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc., you must have expertise in the assessment, design and construction administration of building restoration projects including concrete repairs, wood frame and stucco facade repairs, glazing and painting, and water-proofing. You will oversee the preparation of repair documents and construction administration services for a wide variety of structures including condominiums, commercial buildings, plazas, and parking garages. Other job elements include proposal estimating, managing staff and resources, budgeting, and training while working with a multi-disciplined team of engineers and technical staff members.
Successful candidates must have a solid knowledge of architectural, structural, building envelopes, glazing and waterproofing systems. Work will involve the supervision of the technical and project management team, oversight as well as participation in on-site field investigations, specification and design, development, bidding and procurement, and construction administration. Some travel (within Florida) will be required. Strong computer, writing, communication, and management skills are necessary. Florida registered professional engineer, BSCE, and at least 10 years of experience is required with demonstrated experience in a senior consultant or engineering/project management position. Threshold Inspector/Special Inspector Certification is a plus.
Project Administrative Assistant:
Delta Engineering & Inspection, Inc. is expanding our team and has an opening for a full-time Project Administrative Assistant in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. The successful candidate will have prior administrative experience with the ability to multi-task and possesses strong organizational and professional communication skills. Duties will include providing office and project coordination support to project managers and administrative staff including word processing and editing, filing, creating project manuals, report duplication, and bi-monthly billing. A high level of coordination, multi-tasking, and organization is required to provide support for multiple projects at one time. Candidates must be self-sufficient and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Qualified candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). QuickBooks experience is a plus. College degree preferred.
